So...using the various "abilities" out there to make sure you only get the boss, has anyone here attempted to solo it? Since it has 10-12k HP, It's cutting pretty close to the 15 minute timer, but thinking it might have a chance with a buttload of meds.
Since I've not done this one on SMN before, only WAR, I'm wondering what kind of P.claws/Eclipse bite/Merit BP damage y'all have seen on the NM, and how well the avatars tank it.

I tried this SMN solo. I timed out after bringing it down to 25%. The largest problems I had were: Garuda wasn't lasting long enough to get a 2nd pact off before she died, Pit ambush was doing 600 damage through stoneskin, and there was not much opportunity to make full use of sublimation. Also, drain does sh*t for damage. I think I could cut some time down in between phases, but it would be a very close win if possible.
use -dmg% gear for pit ambush. it hits me for like 300 or so on blm (all the -dmg% gear i use for blm can also be worn by smn).
Did you use any dark skill gear for drain? with a proper dark skill+macc build you should be able to get them to land fairly often. iirc with 291 skill+pluto's i land drain unresisted maybe 50-70% of the time (which leaves 25~20% or so as 1/2 resists, which are still decent damage). at best smn can get 266 skill (not including abyssal), and 31 macc, which is 297. that is nashira head+body, dark torque/earring/grip, merciful cape, goliard feet/hands, shadow legs, and balrahn's/omega, most of which isn't too hard to get, though some might be if you don't have rdm/blm.
if mp was an issue, then it might be worth releasing it between BPs.
meleeing alongside garuda may also be an option. even without proper dd gear, something is always better than nothing, and you could also get some extra mp from spirit taker.
They all used ApRadar and/or DAT swaps.

I'm thinking for starters would have to make sure I only did it on Windsday for the -3 cost. Carry a Vile and Vile +1, spam yag drinks, might be able to do it.
I also noticed that this info was pre ACP/MKD, so augmented items could help a ton now also. Pile on enough attack and critical, the 800 average they are talking about could be bumped to 850-900. That would save at least 1 BP. Couple lucky critical hits could save another BP.

Tried to duo this a few days ago with 2x SMN... it did not go well. 2 Pred Claws took him down to about 80%, a third made him go underground. That part went according to plan. However, the very next mob we found was the freakin Armored Hunter. He literally took the entire remaining 10 minutes to kill. So unless you cheat with DATs or whatever, or are just looking to gamble that you'll get lucky and only get NM, this is not even remotely duo-able, let alone solo-able.
P.S. On the NM itself, in the time between our first round of two Pred Claws, and the third Pred Claws that made him go underground, he killed one of our two Garudas and did significant damage to the second. So if you're going to do this, I suggest Aerial Armor before popping him, and be ready to use Whispering Wind and/or another Aerial Armor or possibly even resummon.
