-3 perp, Pet: atk+5, MaB+3 (Fay Crozier+ Augs) SMN 75Follow

Jesus freakin Christ! I almost passed out when I read up on it. Although the dude didnt have a picI believe him. Can anyone confirm this? Here is a link below:

Other people on the forum mentioned this so I am inclined to believe it. If this is true I will spend all my energy getting this bad boy. It so beats out Bahmy staff and Nirvana. Great for avatar damage and elements since I am a big time elemenatl avatar user.

It's possible to get even higher attack and MAB than that. So yeah, it's real.

Not better than Nirvana, though. Only if you mean in terms of effort required to get it. Not even close to Nirvana.

Bahamut staff is good since it lowers spirit casting timers (unless there was a cap on them)

I don't find the staff OP is referring to to be very good. I think we should be aiming for -3 to -5 BP reduction and possibly some Attack/Magic Attack on our Croziers, for BP macros.

Stick with Bahamut's Staff during melee.

Of course, you could make multiple Croziers for BP Reduction, Attack/Magic Attack, AND Perpetuation, and never have to use Bahamut's Staff at all,
but there's currently no way to specify which Fay Crozier you want to use in your macros.

Personally, I'm going for as much -BP as possible.
A bit of +ATT or +M.ATT would be lovely, too, but the -BP is the main thing.
I'm not even 4/5 AF2 yet (more of a newbie SMN) so I need all the -BP timer I can get for SMN in an HNM situation.

I did the fight last night and it was fun. Got my first augments:

Av Perp -3
Pet: MAB + 2


I think I am going to go again for some atk and more mab. With this I am definately not feeling Bahumut Staff anymore. I can get the extra 5 smn skills from Astute Cape.

Just did this last night and got:

-3 perp
-3 bp
Pet: +7 atk /Ranged Atk

very nice indeed. Only took 3 trys

I'd have to dig... but I think someone on bluegartr just found out that maximum -bp timer is -15 total. So the cap is -15 "bloodpact ability delay"

Did one a few night's ago. Got perp -3, Pet: Attack +4, Ranged attack +4 and MAB +4.
Pretty nice imo. Was hoping for some BP delay- but I'm pleased with it.

Settled on this after burning through my 5 tries on my 1st weapon.

Perp -3
Attk +7/R. Attk +7
MAB +2


I gave up on trying to get MAB +4/ Magic Acc+2 and some sort of perp stat.

The +7 attk is also nice insofar as it meshes nicely with the +15 ACC I augmented on my Redingote, so losing the 5 skill from Bahamut's staff won't be missed as much.

My real headache now is TP issues when I'm hitting mobs and I have to swap out baha for Cozier.

The original weapon that I kept (on my 4th attempt) was:
-2perp cost
+6 atk/ratk
+3 mab

I did the quest again with friends yesterday and got this on my first attempt.

-3 perp cost
+5 atk/ratk
+2 mab

I am very happy with this for the time being. My mates weren't so lucky with their augments, so I am sure that we will be doing the fights again. I would eventually like to receive a,
-3 perp cost
-4/5 BP delay
+5-6 atk/ratk OR +4mab (acc would be great, but i don't think it is possible)

That would be the ultimate weapon for me.

(Incidentally, yesterday was a very good day for me. After that fight we had a little down time as we let a group that was waiting go. I went back and traded a BLU sword and got +5 DMG +4ACC and +10Earth. I kept it. Then 2 fights later we let the group go again so I ran back and traded the SCH weapon. First fight with it I got +7enhancing [the max i think] and fast cast +1. I kept it! I'm loving this quest!}

I wouldn't recommend -BP delay on FayCrozier given the known 45 second BP timer cap, unless your missing YingYang on a few critical pieces. it is fairly easy to get close to 45 BP with just the gear available already.

I just got the topic name from my second try. Completely happy with it, even if higher values on attack and MAB would have been welcome.

My first weapon was pretty poor with -2 perp, virus 18 or something and +4 MAB.

I'll try to get a -BP one sometime I think, but not so much because I need it as for being smooth to have.

I've got a BP-5 Perp-3 MAB+3 staff that I recieved on my second run. Was pretty lucky!
