Not sure if this is posted elsewhere, but over on BG there is a thread documenting the weapon augments received in the Pixie quest.
There is one SMN weapon that has been completed so far and it's a pretty nice macro piece I think. Most of the weapons seem to be receiving job specific bonuses (SCH staff had enhancing skill, fast cast, elemental skill, RDM sword had enspell +, Macc, etc). This has a lot of potential!
Stats on the weapon were:
DMG: 50 Delay: 366
Additional effect: Stun +5
Pet: Attack +7 Ranged Attaack +7

There's also a -2 perp SMN staff in there with Pet: Attack+5 Pet: MAB+2. And Pet: Attack+5 Pet: MAB+3 on a different one.
I hope we're not seeing the best possible stats here. Although I guess it's too much to hope for a -3 perp staff. If we can geta little more Pet: MAB and maybe some Macc on these, I'll be happy.

Wow. That is nice. Replace that -2 perp cost with one of the atk+ or matck+ stats and you have an extremely nice BP weapon.
Has anyone seen more than -2perp cost yet?

Yes, two with -3 perp have popped up.
I hope we can get Macc, and both MAB and Macc on one staff. Add BP-5 (which I assume is the max), and I think I know what my dream staff is.
Full set of HQ staves and I use them on other jobs, so perp-3 isn't incredibly appealing to me. All it'd increase is my inventory while out in the field with SMN. Although, it'd allow for the swapping of avatars while keeping a -3 perp staff on without swapping staves, thus not losing TP if meleeing.
Meh, the possibilities are so good. =(
I'm also considering getting a couple of different ones and throw the extra in my satchel, only to bring out depending on situation.
(and all of this matters little because I'm not actually doing it quite yet)

Tried this for the first time tonight:

Decided not to take it and try for perp -3 and maybe some -bp

Perp-3 and any Pet Accuracy or Attack is an awesome weapon, since it really encourages Avatar melee.
Although, I haven't seen too much Pet: Accuracy+ on the SMN weapon yet. I hope it's there. I'd love to have Perp-3 and Pet Acc.+7 on one.
If nothing else, I'm pleasantly surprised that we now have a new option for Bloodpact Reduction to get past the previous cap.

I wonder if the harder fights result in even better augments? Seems logical at least. Has anyone successfully tried doing the Xarcabard (S) fight and if so, was there any difference in the augments?

I need to make sure my LS gets around to do this sometime. It seems wonderful with a weapon finally designed for SMNs (after however many years SE has just tossed us -perp and pet defense staffs)
Someone in my LS told me they saw a SMN in Jeuno holding a Fay Crozier with Perpuation-5, pet: ACC+15, pet: mACC+15. This is on the Fenrir server. That seems almost too godly to believe - but if it's true, I wants it, precious!
