Elememtal grips? Are they worth using?
This is a question I've been wondering about. So far I've collected a few and will be attempting a test to see if they make any difference in avatar damage and nukes.

The grips don't do anything as far as affecting our avatars, be it their perpetuation, their accuracy, their attack power, or anything else of the sort. They're basically just giving you MP, nothing more.

If you just want some MP, they're not bad for the price some of them cost. No real strap is going to be great for SMN. I just use the Bugard Strap +1 because I use it on other jobs.

I personally use the Staff Strap for the enmity reduction. Useful on Summoner as much as it is useful on any other caster (I have a Bugard Strap +1 for SCH though).

The elemental grips are fairly useless even on jobs which can use them. Dark grip is about the only one worth owning, in my opinion, so that you can land Aspirs and Drains with greater overall potency.

I think if your a nuking RDM with very low mag acc, then these are for you. If your like me, then you have everything capped, and this 1 piece will not show you any noticable net returns. I haven't tried it with a full Mag ACC build as of yet, but that's just a waste of time really IMO.

You're better off using an INT strap in that case too. INT will provide comparable MAcc while adding damage.

I'm pretty sure SE did some retarded moves on those boots and they actually work just like the weapons. Do 300 or so BPs while wearing them, and they will give +3% crit.

And just you try and parse 3% crit rate AFTER wearing those boots a few months to get the 300 BPs. It will be pretty hard.
