Does anyone know if there is a way to play them on the newer OS of today?
Want to revisit some of my old time wasters.

I was (before the last HD meltdown) playing SSI's Panzer General II without DosBox.

That's on XP 3 sp3, though.

PG II isn't freeware anymore and I can't find it, and I miss it.Smiley: frown

ETA: If you really want to waste time, play Simtex's Master of Magic (DosBox reqired). I still play it all the time.Smiley: grin

Another option would be to grab an old Win95 PC like I did. I did it mainly for the old SSI Gold Box D&D games, but there are other games I use it for as well.

Yea, that was a good game. I don't think I ever finished that one. Hell, I think I've only finished 2 of all the D&D games that are out there.

I once played Curse of the Azure Bonds on an old K6-2 processor and it still ran ridiculously fast unless I throttled the hell out of it. You couldn't even follow combat because the screen would just flash and everyone's movement was over and tapping the up key would send your cleric racing and using up all of his movement before you could react.

I can't imagine it on a modern processor. "Run at 0.0125% speed!"

Yea, you definitely have to slow it down. I play mine on an older Cyrix 150 chip, and it needs to be slowed down for it.

Quite a few older games have been ported over to web arenas, you might try seeing if perhaps one of your old favorites exists as a java applet now.

After posting this I thought I should look for an older machine at one of the swap meets or something.

K Turner, I have Shattered Lands on a disk reissue from SSI. Havent played it in a long time. I did do both of their games.

Thanks for the other suggestions.
