Can't MumbleFollow

My computer uses a Asus M2N-E mobo with Nvidia High-definiton audio drivers. I have no problem using Ventrillo to talk to friends so the mic input works. However, my FFXIV LS uses something called Mumble. I can hear the ls, but for some unknown reason I cannot get my mic to work with Mumble. Also the windows sound recorder will not work either. Mic is plugged into the main mic jack (red) on the mobo.

There are two mic inputs on the Windows 7 mixer but only the top one is functional.
