Rift log in probs error #2023 :: World of Warcraft

Hello peeps,

Im having trouble loggin on to Rift. Its been for 48 hours now, im getting error #2023 unable to connect, please try again in a few minutes. I cant go to any riftgame.com adres to. I know this is a more common problem, since ive searched over the net for answers. There are much threads about it but none with a solution. Any of u know how to deal with it?

The issue has to do with european ISP's and rift servers. It may very well be on your ISP's end. First step would be to go to a command prompt (Start run CMD, or just type in CMD in the start menu search box depending on which version of windows you are running.) I'd then try an ipconfig /fluhdns and see if that does the trick. If not, you will want to try disabing your firewall temporarily and seeing if you can ping the netherlands rift server IP, which may be 193.105.173.56

I did try the dnsflush, didnt work for me. When i ping that ip-adres it shows no probs either. And a tracert to that ip also works fine. But still cant log in to the game nor the riftgame.com websites. Are you sure that this is the ip for the Netherlands?

Not 100% certain, no, but thats the IP several people indicated was that server about 2 months ago. maybe it changed. I don't have an easy way to tell.
