A few months back I was playing WoW, and my laptop started acting up when it came to connecting to the client. Since I was about to quit anyway, I didn't think much of it. I uninstalled WoW, and kinda forgot about it since I wasn't using my laptop much.
Now here I am, with my laptop as my primary computer and I am experiencing... network oddities. Before it is suggested, I have already checked and do not have a recovery point set in Windows (I don't know why, I have never disabled this feature to my knowledge), and I have absolutely no idea where my windows 7 install disc is (my laptop shipped with Vista but I bought the Win7 upgrade when it came out through a student discount... not even sure I actually made a backup disc).
I can use firefox fine, but that's about the only program that will connect to the internet. If I try to connect itunes, I get this:
Error
If I try to update Java, I get this:
Error
When I try to access windows help, I get this:
Error
You get the idea. The same happens with Steam, and everything else that I try to access the internet with besides a browser, and utorrent. Both of those work fine. I ran the "Identify/Repair network" tool and got this message.
Needless to say, I'm getting frustrated. I really don't want to have to reinstall vista on here and repurchase the windows 7 upgrade. If I had a windows 7 disc and knew where my registration key was, I would just reformat. Any advice? It has been plaguing me for several days now.
