Hello this is my first Nvidia card ever its a GTX460 Superclock and im using it with windows 7 64bits.
All settings are default exept i turned on vsync and triple buffer cause i need em but now when i play a game or when i run 3DMark i get s suddent stop in the game that last like 1second on 3dMark and on games from 4 to 25 seconds and the game continues but later it does it again.I have only tried to set the Maximun Pre-redered frames to 0 but its still happening. What can it be?

PC Pecs
AMD Phenom II quad core 955
Asus M4n75TD Mobo
4Gb Ram

The card Runs on 48C normal and loaded 68C.
Nothing of this happened when i had my old Ati 5770 card and i unistalled all ati drivers manually and with the driver sweper

What size monitor are you running on this, and have you updated to the latest Nvidia drivers without effect?

Also, if you turn triple buffer and vsync off, one or the other or both, do you experiance the same issue?

Games like The Scourge Project, the game display freezes but i hear that the game continues even if the image is freeze. Before total freeze the game freeze for like 20 seconds randomly a lot of times. When i play Final Fantasy XIV the game image shakes from the sides or from up and down from time to time and i see some parts of buildings get white and back to normal real fast like a flash.I run 3DMark and the image freezes for 1 to 2 seconds ramdomly but the test ends sussefully even with that.
None of this problems happened when i had my old Ati 5770 and before instal i did a driver sweeper and remove all Ati.I have tried drivers version 258 and 260 and still the same issue and i updated the bios of the card to the latest too.None the card or the CPU are OC but i did test them OC and still the same. The card is runnung fully loaded at 68C that is nice so its not the temp thats causing it.
Im out of ideas guys can someone help me?

Triper Buffer and vsync on and off same results.
Monitor is a Hitachi LCD 32

was thinking the same thing... that the vsynch wasn't working right. If you are connecting with a digital cable, could possibly be a problem there--too long a cable or something interfering with the signal. The ATI may have had a stronger output or something that was able to compensate. Could even be something as weird as not enough juice from your power supply, just enough to avoid tripping the error at bootup but not enough to support it under load.

Temperatures are in line with what would be expected. Single 460 GTX is a little on the low side to drive a 32 inch display, but it shouldn't be freezing unless you have the settings maxed. Did you reboot after turning off vsync and tripple buffer? even though it makes the change, sometimes it doesn't apply until a full reboot.

Power supply would definitly be a good avenue to check, the 460's are thirstier than your ATI card was.

Maybe try a full driver uninstall, reboot, reinstall from the latest nvidia.com driver and see if that helps? Reset the settings to factory, etc and see if the issue persists?

I'm starting to wonder if you didn't somehow get a bad card. At this point, I'd try calling the company tech support for wherever you got it and see if they will RMA it for a new one.
