I'm running a Radeon 5770 Sapphire 1gb card.
Playing on max settings
In some of the more open areas my temps hit about 72-73 at 59% fan speed

Anything to be concerned about or are these temps ok?

Those are definitely on the high side. Find a software tool where you can tweak your settings for your video card, and ramp the fans up to 100%. That should fix your heat issues.
