FFXIV Benchmark has stopped working, advice? (was forum=29) Follow

Well first attempt it ran and I failed the benchmark. The only thing is I was using an integrated graphics card so of course to fix it I went out and bought a ATI Radeon HD5450 with 1GB memory. (Specs say minimum is 2900 with radeon HD). Now when I attempt to run it after picking the race, etc. the screen pops up to play then I get "FFXIV Benchmark has stopped working... windows is attempting to find a solution to the problem." Nothing I do fixes it.

The video card driver is fully updated.

Direct X is fully updated (had that problem before I got a crap score the first time).

Any Ideas?

*Edit: I've decided to give trying out a different brand graphics card, was told this one has driver issues, tried downloading older drivers for it too since new one didn't work, If anyone thinks that wont solve the problem and has any other tips, feel free to reply and thank you in advance!*

Under your control panel in the administrative tools, there is a section called "Event manager" check there under applications and see if it has an error message that corresponds to the attempt to run the program.

next, go to start:Run and type: Dxdiag
This should launch the directX diagnostics window. Run all the tests and see if any of them fail for any reason.

Since you are able to see the character screen, i'm guessing your video card was able to enter 3D mode, so it might not be drivers. I'm thinking maybe old sound driver issue maybe, but that would just be a guess without knowing any more details.

I am having the same issue.

I recently purchased a Asus laptop G73. i7 1.6 Ghz processor, ATI Mobility radeon HD 5870 Graphics, 1TB Hard Drive, 8 GB DDR3 Memory. Directx is up to date as well as my graphics card. I have tried to do soo many different things to make it work, but no luck. PLEASE any ideas to get this to work?

I just ran the directx test:

The file atiumd64.dll,atidxx64.dll,atidxx64.dll,atiumdag,atidxx32,atidxx32,atiumdva,atiumd6a.cap,atitmm64.dll is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

The file USBAUDIO.sys is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

The file RTKVHD64.sys is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

Edit* Under administrative tools, I only see Event Viewer, no Event manager
