So I got a Crappy Lenovo computer from fry's a couple months ago mainly as a DvD, Netflix, Surfing computer for my 2nd apartment as an alternative to cable. Well now that my Main computer has had some major stuff wrong with it and I am looking at 6-8 weeks minimum at getting it back I was thinking about Beefing this computer up.

That is the computer in question and I basically would like it to play most video games and not cost an outrageous amount of money.

I know I am sounding lazy but I really don't know that much about computers. (Like Zilch)

Thanks for any help!

Oh and it has Vista.

It doesnt appear to have a pcie slot so unless you go with a pci type graphics card wich would cost a lot the only upgrade i could see is adding ram. It isnt a gaming type pc. When you bought it for surfing etc you got exactly what you paid for a very basic pc. and it is indeed extremely basic without too many upgrade options from what i can see.

Give me an idea of what you wish to spend to upgrade this pc for an idea of a budget and Ill see what can be done to help it out.

I could see putting in 200$ if I it would help. It would be nice to have some games at the apartment.

Sorry man but the pc you own even though it has a desktop look has way more in common with a netbook than a true desktop.

The power supply is in fact a netbook psu as is the cpu and motherboard meaning all you can change is ram assuming you can find it and a hard drive.
basically what you have at the moment is what you have
