Is there a way to run a PC with nothing more then a gamepad? For example say I bought one of those Xbox 360 wireless controllers for a PC. The only thing I really want this PC for is to run a handful of games and maybe browse the internet. Is there a way to control the PC with the gamepad as a mouse and also use it to push keys on the screen kinda like the Wii does when you browse the internet?

I want to build a PC and stuck it in the cabinet under my tv and use it for basically the internet and a handful of games. I don't plan on typing on it other then maybe a website or search phrase every once in a while. I don't really want to mess with a keyboard and mouse though if I can get away from it as it would just take up alot of room I don't have.

There are programs out there that can translate Joypad buttons to mouse movements, and you can use the built in on screen keyboard in conjunction with that...

So you could move the mouse around with your gamepad and click on the buttons on the keyboard.

The 360 gamepad has a keyboard adapter that connects between the two hand held parts. It's probably just a matter of finding an adapter to connect the gamepad to the PC and the software to get them talking. Their may not be any official software that does this but I am sure you can find some somewhere.

That brings me to the next point. If you already own a wired 360 controller, all you have to do is download the software from the MS website which will allow you to use it on your PC.
