So I first discovered this issue when trying to run CoH. I thought it was just windows7 rejecting it, now it has carried over to Firefox. Also when I try to run firefox I get a notice from Kaspersky Anti-Virus that the program was terminated. here is the image of the error, and the entry generated by kaspersky

This is actually pretty common if you have every used AVG where it will just not allow applications to run.

The best way to test that theory is to either completely disable or remove Kaspersky and see what happens. I am almost positive however you will not see any more errors.

I had to do the same thing on my laptop I use to tune cars on. AVG would not allow execution for that application even with an exception set. Removed AVG and installed another Antivirii application has been working great ever since.

Stopped reading about here. Good luck with your beta OS and resolving issues with it.

Yeah windows 7 is still really hsakey, so not much help here really. I did have a similar problem when Vista came out, it started locking me out of various windows such as the control panel and stuff. After I pirated service pack 1 that was accidentally released on the longhorn server, then the issue was solved.

Could be something needed to be patched but who knows, go back to Vista or XP.
