So.

Right now im saving money towards an iMac(the 24" one) for my school work. But that is a fairly distant goal so I am thinking if I should upgrade my current PC desktop a bit till I am able to get the new one.

Although! I have no idea if it is worth it to upgrade. The least upgrade that I am considering is to have 3gb ram. Anyways, here is my current spec... D:

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
Display: Nvidia Geforce 7800 GT
RAM: 1gb

...
I don't even know what else I should post o.o

Im fairly lost at the moment, so please grant me your advices o'l mighty alla'ers!

Thanks. :x

Don't buy a mac. They are made out of dead baby orphans sacrificed on indian burial grounds, and they cause cancer. Just look at steve jobs!

Who the @#%^ is pretentious here? I study design and I happen to be in a community where everyone is using OS-X. Plus, my monitor and my desktop is four @#%^ing years old, I don't think I can spend the time/money to figure out how to build a new PC, nor to build a fake-mac to have an unstable OS-X to run on it.

Note, I've been using PC all my life, just recently I am sick of formating portable drives just so I can carry sh*t from school and to home. IMO, both system are fine computer, but I am choosing what is appropriate.

Anyway, back to the topic please?

(Sorry for wrong forum)

Really you dont need a mac for design. Your going to be paying an extra grand at least for a mac comparable to a pc computer that can do the same thing.

If your computer is 4 years old I would just start new, Turn your old computer into a storage server/game box.

If you want I can price you out a computer if you give me a price limit.

I have a better idea, give me $3000, and I'll give you a $1100 computer and a kick in the nuts. The experience will be identical.

It's not worth it to upgrade. Buying a new computer for your schoolwork to replace what you have would be like buying a new cargo jet to bring groceries home from the store. Nothing you do for school will utilize any of the additional power offered by a newer machine. You won't get anything done faster, or better. If you play games, that's another story, but there is absolutely zero reason to upgrade what you have now to do school work.

Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

With "auto" programs such as this, most of the work is done for you so it becomes less complicated for new users. So simply download the program and install it on to your computer
