Media Having Trouble Booting Off Of External Hard DriveFollow

I use my External Hard Drive for all my FRAPSing, seeing as it holds 500GB of space. I can convert the files to a manageable format just fine, but when I try to run them, I encounter some issues. The videos won't run in Windows Media Player and they take a few minutes to boot in ZoomPlayer.

Is there a reason I am having this issue?

You're trying to run a video thru a USB cable? If you have room on your main drive copy it to that and try to run the vid, if it works you've found your problem.

I have a 1TB WD external drive, and I can stream mpegs and avis off of it just fine. Have you tried replacing your current cable?

I'm pretty sure my cable works fine, but I'll replace it if there's no other apparent solution.

It says Codec not found, but when I run it off of my internal hard drive, I do not encounter that error.

Try the VLC Player. It's free and it plays almost any format; see if that helps.
