Help...I've tried everything I can think of!Follow

I play World of Warcraft. My comp is having problems and I dont know what to do. When in the Outlands (mostly), I will drop down to 4 fps and literally "Loose my floor". It will be gone completely. The only thing I can see is bushes and the ground itself is see-through. Then my comp will freeze all together so I cant move and then the screen will blink black and then back to the last scene that was showing when it froze. Ive tried replacing the graphics card to a really expensive one....tried adding 3 cooling fans into the side of my computer for more ventilation, and tried replacing a little fan that was broken on my motherboard (no I dont know what the heck it went too but its been broken for forever and never had this prob..fixed it and the prob is still going on lol). Ive reinstalled WoW and deleted my WTF folder as well as run the game with NO addons once so ever. Im at a loss for what to do. I meet system requirements (actually I surpass system requirements). Please throw me some suggestions. Im drawing a blank as to what to do. Thanks in advance. ~Anngelina!!!

It sounds like your graphics card and/or cpu is having problems coping, either through lack of processing power or too much heat. If the fan on your cpu was on the blink, that might have compromised its ability to function properly.

Do please post your specs - CPU make & model, same for graphics card and motherboard and how much RAM you've got.

That fan was ok, he was probably talking about one of those little fans that plug on the mobo.

What drivers are you running?
What bios are you running?
What is your power supply?

We need more details, and try not to make a big brick of text next time.

2gigs of ram
bio= Phoenix Award v6.00Pg
AMD Athlon processor 3200+ 2.01 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS
My comp was hand built so not sure on what the motherboard is and i dont want to take any chances taking it apart =P

I believe this was all the info you asked for.

Doesnt look like a hardware issue, as all that is good enough to run wow. Are you sure all your fans are going?

Download this program Core Temp. After downloading run it and run wow. It should tell you what temperatures you are running at.

Have you tried running the file checker program for WOW?? You might have a corrupted file from patching or something.

I downloaded that program and its running at about 111 degrees F.

Yes I've tried using the file checker program for wow and it comes up with nothing =(

Im lost as to what to do. Thought about buying another comp but that would just be a waste...theres nothing really wrong with this one besides that problem.

Roll back to 169.21 drivers.

Good luck.

Really?

I'm at the reinstall windows point, then. If that still didn't work, I'd start hitting things with hammers. Seriously, though, formatting and reinstalling will probably fix it. If it doesn't you likely need a new video card.

A new 7300GS will run you about 35 bones these days.

Although, I'd highly recommend upgrading to something a little more stout if you go that way.

You could also try a new video card before a reformat if you have one laying around.
