Tech problems in WoWFollow

Greetings,

I've been playing a horde toon successfully in World of Warcraft for some time now and figured I would try making an ally character. At first I tried making a Human character but whenever I tried to load up the game it would crash and report a fatal error regarding some unreadable files ("ERROR #134 (0x85100086) Fatal Condition"). I probably should have sought to deal w/the problem at that point but I didn't.

Anyway, I created a gnome and levelled it to 14 before attempting to travel to Stormwind. After traveling to the tram depot in Stormwind and attempting to zone through into the city the game crashed again. Now my character is caught in limbo. The game doesn't detail where my character is located on the log in screen, and I'm unable to enter Azeroth w/him. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do here? Am I going to have to choose between abandoning the Alliance or going through the reinstall/update process again?

One note is that I don't have burning crusade installed and I was hoping *maybe* when I purchased that and updated it would resolve the situation. Anyone have any experience w/this kind of problem?

Thanks

1. Make another ally toon or run one of your horde toons to the area your gnome crashed at. See if it crashes or causes any type of problem.

2. Run scandisk and see if you have any clusters going bad, WoW may not be able to access some of the files it needs for that specific area.

3. Make a copy of your WTF and Addons folder and store them somewhere. Uninstall and reinstall WoW and then move your saved addons and WTF folder back, see if that fixes the problem.

It sounds like a corrupted file problem. It could be on the servers end but thats very unlikely.

I would run the Blizzard Repair Utility built into WoW. It can find and fix many problems that may occur. It sounds like your Stormwind files might be borked, which is why you couldn't create the human toon, and your gnome crashes on the way to SW.
