It recently came to my attention that I have a disturbing 4gb left on my HD of a total 158gb. What I want to do is install a Plug and Play, preferably external, with around 75-100gb.

The only problem is I don't know how. I wouldn't even know what my current HD looked like.

So, can someone post a decent website (Prefereably a UK one) please? Money isn't too much of an issue - up to £145, a little more if needed.

These are some I've looked at:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-250GB-Essential-External/dp/B000EXZAOY/
(Not sure if the price is indicating something - probably size)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Iomega-120GB-USB-Desktop-Hardrive/dp/B0000719IF/

Thanks alot!

I have always liked Seagate drives myself, much more reliable for storage. Nothing against WesternDigital because they are also a very good company.

However in a recent press confrenece Seagated said they make large drives for people to store your **** which makes my already 100% satisfaction just so much more. . . ok that was a little off topic so here is the link before I really start to drift.

For an external drive I'd go with this one personally:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Maxtor-OneTouch-III-FireWire-800/dp/B000GLKK5S/sr=1-8/qid=1168122853/ref=sr_1_8/203-2953411-4595944?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

Its the UK version (and slightly smaller version) of the external drive I use for my network storage drive.

Personally, I'd fit a second internal drive though.. had too many caddy failures (burned up 3 HD's in the last year)

External HDs are nice and easy, plug it in, turn it on, and you have tons of space to work with. My advice, and how I use my Ext HD is for storage only. You can install games/programs on one, and leave it running constantly, however, I would not advise doing it. It is not what they are designed for. Just move all music/movies/pictures and any other loose files and programs over. Then your internal HD will have room again.
