WoW-minimum system requirementsFollow

hi i've been trying to play WoW on my comp, but it loads the game w/ the 2.0.1 patch on windows xp, then when it starts to load the character, it quits the game and goes back to the desktop. there are no error messages when this happens and there arent any errors in event viewer either. im totally stumped. can you help?
