Computers gone psycho! (Grahics card "out of range")Follow

#1 Nov 21 2006 at 10:15 PM Rating: Good
I'm not sure how it happened but... Yeah, in a long string of events my computer had the blue screen of death. But then, it turned on, normal, all was good. Except... Well, everything was wrong! It thought I had two monitors and my graphics card was supposed to be controlling the second! Eeks. So I reinstalled the drivers and when I plug my monitor into the GFX card I get a message on the monitor saying "Out Of Range" and i'm not sure how to switch it back. Any suggestions are welcome. the graphics card is a "GeForce 3D Fusion 128 MB GPU" or something like that if it helps.

You have to drop the refresh rate on the second monitor. Try 60mhz and increase from there. Its the monitor that cannot display the range, not the computer. A better monitor would also fix the issue.

I fixed it by disabling the motherboard card thingy. It's all good now.
