Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I've looked everywhere and can't find an answer so here I am. I'm currently using a nvidia FX 5200 128mb PCI video card and I'm looking to change the drivers. It's an old card so I was just wondering if anyone can recommend a good version. I know ffxi likes 30.82, but I was just wondering if anyone knows a later version that's better. Thanks a lot.

I'd stick with that if you're looking to optimise your performance in FFXI.

I've never had a problem running the latest drivers. I had a 5200, like you, but upgraded to a 5500 later on.

Just try the latest version and see. Follow the instructions on how to properly install a driver on the Nvida website, though. ;-)

It can't hurt to try some more recent ones, i think anything up until about 50 generally works pretty well wth FFXI.

You can always go backwards, try the newer ones, run the benchmark/game. See what works the best.
