As I speak in FFXI the R on top of the screen goes to 0 and everything freezes up/lags. I then get disconnected and it takes about 5-10 minutes of relogging for my connection to settle. This happens on average twice a day, usually a few hours apart. How do I fix this? Most people tell me its a router problem.

Could be a router freezing, could be your ISP. If you are on a wireless card, could be someone operating their garage door opener. Also could be a virus (unlikely), an outside virus controlled computer scanning your computer for weaknesses, windows update or other background software checking for updates, lack of ram, etc. Need your hardware specifications.
