Is norton detecting it on your computer, or only inside incoming e-mails?

If norton isn't getting it nuked, you might want to try housecall.trendmicro.com. since the virus definitions and cleaning ingformation is saved offsite, the virus can't corrupt it, like it can with a norton install. If that doesn't work, you can remove it manually using regedit and a bit of digging

ok, one thing you can do is write down the file names it detects, go to command prompt (Start:run:Command) use the dos commands to get to the directory they are at, and nuke them that way.

Oh, and by the way you can safely delete every *.tmp file on your computer assuming you don't have word or access or excel open at the time.

ok i have deleted the .tmp files in the Quarantine file but they keep comeing back.

in the subfolder of Quarantine called incoming, there are allmost 1000 .tmp files ithat i cannot delete or if i do delete they come back.

i ran norton, bullgaurd, housecall, adaware, and even deleted my .pst file that i got the email from but it still seems to be in my computer.
