I've been having a problem with Zonealarm since I got my computer.. 3 years ago. Zonealarm will work fine until it tries to gain access to a full screen application, and in doing so crashes the program. From that point on, any new or changed programs are not remembered by Zonealarm after reboot, and it will ask again. I used to be able to reinstall into a different folder and it worked fine.. But now that's not even working. I'm sure it's a corrupt registry key causing this problem, hopefully someone can tell me how to fix it.

Much thanks in advance

I had posted this in the wrong forum, and Kaolian agreed that it sounds like an install/registry problem. However, I don't know how to find the registry keys for this program.. Any help here?

Hi there,

I had the same problem here. Basically, start POL, let Zonealarm ask if you want to let it access the internet, say "Yes" and tell it to remember the setting. Exit POL.

Now go into Zonealarm and find where it lists your program access. Find the PlayOnline viewer in there and right-click on the Server column; give it server access. Minimize Zonealarm to the system tray.

Now here's the big thing. Zonealarm is kinda bad in that it won't remember your settings if you actually crash it. It will only remember your settings if you reboot the system. So do that.

You shouldn't have any more problems at this point. For all your other full screen games, if you're having the same problem, repeat the above steps.

Let me know if this helps!
