Sounds makes my game crash and unenjoyableFollow

So, if i go and turn sounds on from Windows desktop FFXI Config, everything goes as normal but when i enter to game it starts crashing, and really hard too.
Don't say that get latest drivers, BIOS etc. cause i have them all, even for my mouse!
And when i turn sounds off game works like dream, no crashing even with all bonus effects on max!
I found that way to turn crashing off(via sounds off) at kazham, lvl 25 WAR and i was really happy cause i couldnt pt outside kazham cause moving was very hard cause crashing and Provoke was extended for about 8 secs cause of lag which is very bad for WAR and now i am PLD so it comes even more important.
please help!

System Specs:
1500mhz P-4
512mb SDRAM
Radeon 9700 Pro
Integrated Sound card
Windows ME

PS. I e-mailed this to SE, they couldnt help me and turning sounds off wasnt their income
(sorry my bad english, i'm Finnish)

Thank you

Sounds like you have an IRQ conflict between the sound card and the video card. If you know how, change the IRQ for the Sound Card and that should help.

Go to start:settings:Control panel. Open up the system icon. in the device manager tab, find your soundcard. Once you have it located, go to the properties tab and check your IRQ. If it is identical to the video card, change it to something unused. making very very sure the irq is unused first. you do not want to intorduce more device conflicts.
