When ever I am trying to download updates, I get an error message saying: POL-1162, something wrong with network. But I don't know what could be wrong. It also says try again later, but I have been trying for the last 4 hourse and still the same thing. Someone please help. Thank you.

So what does that mean? What do i need to do? I am new at this so please give me details.
If you're using a router, then you should check the manufacturers web site to see if there is an updated firmware version at their site. Most sites have detailed instructions on upgrading your firmware. If you don't know where to go from that, please post back with your router make and model, and I'll see if I can dig a link and instructions up for you.
If you're not using a router, and you're on broadband, try resetting your cable/dsl modem. Unplug everything from the back of the modem for 3 minutes. Plug things back in in this order:
Power cord
Feed from cable/dsl company
Network cable to router/computer/hub/switch
If you need even more detailed instructions, that's fine, but we need to know more about your computer and your network. Are you on PS2 or PC? What specs does your computer have? To find out, you can go to:
Start >> Programs >> PlayOnline >> PlayOnline Viewer >> PlayOnline Viewer Config
Then click the System Information button. Copy and paste everything you see under the System tab.

Hi, I finally started playin XI again i have a big patch update to do, after a half an hour of prepairing the update and when it FINALLY starts the download i get the same error.. 1162. i have a cable modem and ive tried unplugging it for a while and it still didn't work, from what i hear calling customer service is useless.. usually i only have patch problems when i have any internet security running, but i turned all that off to. if anyone has any advice to this please help me out. iam confused and i wanna get back to my friends.. its been a while ^^ thanks much.
