I use a Linksys router, and currently have the network configured with DHCP. I'm using Comcast cable, they aren't blocking any ports. I've noticed alot of this going around lately, random disconnects.
Tonight I sat and watched my Rec. dwindle down to zero no less than 4 times, then come back up in the space of about a minute, and everything was fine for a while before it would drop again.
The other day I was getting completely disconnected, and unable to log back in for hours at a time.
Today I was having what seemed to be intermittant DNS issues as well, though I could never recreate them. I ended up running:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
Then a computer shutdown. I unplugged the modem and router for probably an hour or better, then the modem back in, and the router when the lights normalised. Started up the computer, and everything seemed fine, but like I said, it wasnt.
You guys got any ideas?
