FFXI-PoL Connection.. :: World of Warcraft

When I log into PoL it gets to the retrieving messages spot and just stays for about 5-10 minutes then says something about my connection.. only thing I can think of is that the connection isn't set up right.. but can't find where to change it.. any help would be appreciated..

what kind of connection are you using? Are you using a router? is this for a computer or a playstation? If this is a computer please posrt yous system specifications and any software firewalls you may be using.

Graphics Card = NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600 Ultra

Network Card = Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC
Motherboard = i845G-W83627HF

And I'm using Adelphia Cable and I'm not using a Router..

Here is what I wrote in a similar thread. Can't hurt just to make sure that the ports are accessible...
