Problems with recent POL updateFollow

I've just recently downloaded the newest update for POL, having just returned from a 2 week vacation, and am discovering some problems with it. Mainly, whenever I run POL, it freezes at the new intro screen....that one with the gray background and whatnot. I've uninstalled/reinstalled POL twice now, and it works after each time, but if I turn my computer off, or leave it on without running POL for an extended period of time, I get the same problem. Not sure if anyone else is having a similar problem, but it's a bit frustrating. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Well, turns out it was just a simple little thing like disabling my firewall. Never had that prob before, but eh, whatever works.
