OK after the new patch I can't see a thing. I do have DX9 installed. I can see the UI (default) but it seems dark. I am in PoK and the only thing I can see is the torches on the buildings. I have played with gamma and the far clip plane, and the do adjust the brightness, but everything is still white/foggy.
Also it crashes after about a min. in game.
What do I need to do. Help!

It must not be applying the gamma correction correctly. what graphics card are you using, and are you on windows 2000 or windows XP pro by any chance?

I talked to Gateway and my card only supports DX 6 & 7, eventhough I have been running DX 8 for as long as it has been out. I downloaded DX 9 the other day.
I downloaded new drivers and installed and poof EQ works just fine.
Now it Gateway says my card will not support DX9 and EQ says I have to have DX9 to play. duh...
Maybe it need a Dell dude!
