Anyone with any luck on resolving TnL on int. cards for FFXIFollow

Greetings, all. I was just wondering if anyone has had or seen anything about anyone having luck resolving problems with TnL on integrated video cards for FFXI? I had a friend just recently purchase a new computer after her previous one pretty much died. It's an HP so not the greatest thing in the world by any stretch, but it was our hope to get her up and on FFXI with little trouble (as always seems to be not the case). Anyway, after installing, she received the all too famous "Terminated as error occurred in FINAL FANTASY XI. Failed to recognize
hardware TnL" message.

Being an HP I am certain it's an integrated card. Has anyone seen anything about being able to correct this without resorting to purchasing a new vid card? I'd prefer that every computer manufacture destroy all integrated crap, but if I were king of the world, there would be some sense in all things, and we just can't have that, can we? hehe

Thanks all,

It's a hardware issue. Those Intel integrated cards just flat out will never work unless someone recodes the FFXI engine to an older model. Sorry.

Just wondering if there is a hack out there or a fix for this. I have tried installing ffxi on my laptop with an intel integrated graphics chip and get this famous (unable to load hardware tnl) error.

If there was a reg file , or a cfg file i could edit, or fake drivers I could use, anything to get this to work, I'd appreciate knowing about it. Please email me @ jacanuck@rogers.com if you have an answer

you could try going into directx and enabling software tnl, but all reports I have are that it will not work.
