Only real big priority will be the armet. I wonder if this is how they are giving us HBIV. The greaves will beat out homam and I am assuming the brais will make h. jump just like super jump(can be very situational).

I was always under the impression that high jump shed about 33% hate and with the wyrm brais it brought it to around 66% hate loss.

Edit: I was thinking 50% not 66%

High Jump is an instant attack round that sheds a portion of the user's enmity. - BG

Enmity loss is 50% for Dragoon main job, or 30% with Dragoon sub job. - BG

Wyrm Brais Increases Enmity loss to 60%. - BG
Wyrm Brais +1 Increases Enmity loss to 60%. - BG

All freaking lies.

None of these numbers were conducted at the release of Libra even. All of these tests are eyeballed to ****.

From the numbers above, how did you even get 33%? See what I mean?

It's all just hear say regarding and revolving "Enhances High Jump" Effect.

Actually these tests were done using kanican's CE/VE testing method and the results shown to BG and this site. They were not eyeballed, HJ was throughly tested.

So how does this compare to Lancer's Armor +2 Set? I can see the stats. That's not what I mean. But in terms of use. Which do you think would be better over-all for party or for solo, in and out of Abyssea?

They dont really directly compete with lancers for anything.

Head: Breath helm like its always been. No other use besides stopgap WS hat till you get anything better.
Body: Only piece with any combat use. Haste option if using a 6hit build, but competes with fazhulo and aces.
Hands: Magic damage swap for your wyvern if you care to do that.
Legs: Phy swap for wyvern if your into that. Possible high jump macro for the (supposed) hate loss. Otherwise there are better damage options for high jump. I dont really use HJ anymore, let alone care enough to swap out legs, but each their own. Stopgap for WS gear till lancers finished.

Feet: Breath piece. Mediocre WS piece hold over if you cant get anything else (heca etc)

They are all really just macro pieces or very situational (body). Combat wise theres nothing to be excited about really. Wyvern breath wise its epic. Head and feet are gonna rock for that. legs/hands just kidna meh. Wyvern damage down build...cant get to excited about it. But 2 good pieces, 1 situational, and 2 bleh isnt a bad deal. Thats more than they were worth at 75 (only head mattered for anything then)

Well I have no MDT/PDT for myself on hand slot atm, so using the relic hands wouldn't hurt. Really happy about the head and feet though. There should still be the merit point augments after this upgrade too though?

When you break it down like that, it makes it pretty easy to see that I wasn't missing anything. Thanks a bunch!

Don't forget that all of these can be augmented as follows:

Trial 5019: Wyrm Armet +2: Adds "Enhances 'Deep Breathing' effect"
Trial 5020: Wyrm Mail +2: Adds "Enhances 'Spirit Surge' effect"
Trial 5021: Wyrm Finger Gauntlets +2: Adds "Enhances 'Angon' effect"
Trial 5022: Wyrm Brais +2: Adds "Enhances 'Strafe' effect"
Trial 5023: Wyrm Greaves +2: Adds "Enhances 'Empathy' effect"

Not exactly something worth jumping out of your chair for (esp. if its on a piece that you weren't wanting to upgrade to +2 in the first place), but still wanted to point it out. Personally, I certainly look forward to having an ultimate wyrm armet.
