DRG soloing in abysseaFollow

Hello, I've been pretty bored lately and in some respects I'm getting sick of pulling out my THF for everything I do in Abyssea. Most recently I've soloed Manohra, Geiremund, and Whiro on THF but I've been seriously missing playing on my DRG. Recently returning player and been slowly gathering gear/atmas/abyssites from abyssea but man do I miss DRG/mage soloing.

I come here asking for some advice seeing as I have a longing for /mage soloing and really don't know how to approach it. Been working on my old PDT- build but was wondering if there was a good PDT- atma I could look into and possibly a target to fight that won't totally rip my face off or one-shot my wyvern. Mostly this is just for fun, and still see whether I still have it to solo DRG/mage. Thanks in advance, Brahmsz.


I'm currently 2/3 on Lunar Abyssite; RR and GH acquired (for melee); bought Dragon Rider(?) (for increased wyvern HP) and Zenith (-10%DT) from Fabricant; currenly 5/5 with one piece of +1(lancer's vambrace+1). Like I said this is just for fun and a break from the monotony that Abyssea seal parties have forced me into.

As someone who just came back to the game recently, I'm still learning about how stuff works in Abby. My only 75 when I left was DRG, and I've always thought it was easily the most fun job in the game. That being said, other than being a(n AWESOME) DD, I haven't had much else to do in abby with my DRG.
As a matter of fact I just took out my 19 BLM last night to get him ready to do some stuff in Abby. (Went from 19-25 in about 2.5 - 3 Hrs in a Gusgen Mines ally)

As for what I've seen so far, my DRG has been relegated to the "Wait till we proc _____ color and then when the mob is low enough % HP we'll call you in. We don't want you feeding it crazy TP too soon." role. At least that's how it's been on NMs and VNMs. In Abby parties of course, they love the DDs!

I too miss drg/mage solo a ton and also play thf almost 24/7 because its "useful" compared to drg. I dont really have an answer for you. I wanted to play more drg, so I started a mythic. Ironically, everything I have to do to GET a mythic, thf is better suited for......so im just on thf even more now XD

Ill be damned if I dont at least CHOOSE if i go thf or drg then on my own terms with a finished mythic :P

As for atmas, go to wiki and check the atma page. It has every single atma listed and organizes it in a variety of ways for (semi) easy navigation. Ctrl+F will find anything else :P

Honestly, I'm happy people finally responded on here(although sporadically) but Abyssea and all it's recent content released over the past year really has left me feeling depressed. I'm pretty much on the verge of retiring my DRG. In my mind DRG has always been my "main job" in-game but what fun is a job you can't play or use unless by yourself..?
