Dragoon

* Vision
Experts with the lance who can take command of any battle with their wyverns, which can either deal heaping helpings of pain or relieve their party with a reinvigorating breath.

We aim to make jumping a more dynamic aspect of dragoons' fighting style and to have wyverns evolve into more versatile allies with the ability to enfeeble enemies.

* Example Adjustments
o Adding the effect of reducing magic resistance to certain wyvern breath attacks.
o Adding an ability that makes wyverns more difficult to KO.
o Adding an effect to Jump, High Jump, and Super Jump that reduces enmity of the player behind the dragoon.

seems like we get strafe as a normal job trait, some kind of wyvern protection, and reverse TA on every 75- jumps

then what about merited strafe(lol) and 2h high jump add effect ? (they are also going to review job merits, so maybe changing actual strafe ?)

but i'm more interested by the "wyverns evolve into more versatile allies with the ability to enfeeble enemies" part anyway.

^ Agreed. They need to add a native -50% DT trait for our wyvern, that would go a long way in keeping it from dying so easy. Still wouldn't be enough on the big NM's I'd imagine but at least every single NM in abyssea wouldn't be able to kill our wyvern with 1-2 AoE's easily. I thought about Saying just give it more hp, but spirit link wouldn't be able to keep up and then it might make our Healing Breathes stronger then what they want. Lowering spirit link timer would be nice as well, even lowering it to 2 mins would help so much.

Every other pet is stronger in every stat(especially hp) and all of them can recall their pets much more quickly. We also need our wyvern's hp to be high to get the full effect of our set bonus which sucks, cause if we are fighting any NM, it probably won't even be alive if it if it is something that AoE's.

I <3 my DRG, but I 'hate' playing it in abyssea because the second I walk up to an NM, my pet INSTANTLY dies.

We were doing the amphetere NM in mis. coast a couple weeks ago and we had a larger number of people than normal and it was kind of overkill - so I came out as DRG to play around since I don't normally get much of a chance to. When I saw an opening I went in to WS, and it did another TP move with a fresh and clean Wyvern pet - before I got close enough to WS, it did an AOE that took a chunk of my HP, and instantly killed my wyvern. I was like... seriously? The wyvern didn't even get a hit in and it was dead. That's a little ridiculous. Our weak **** little flying wyverns need like 75% physical damage taken reduction to be of any real use in abyssea with their current HP pools, in their current state it's just ridiculous.

I have 12 jobs at 90, one of them is BST - I can say without a doubt that a BST pet has like a million more times survivability (not to mention the short call beast timer) than our wyvern pet.

All I hope is that, if it's something to "increase pet survivability" - it'd better be a "long-term-pet-buff", so we can put it on pre-emptively and not have to worry about our pet just "poofing", or better yet an always-active PDT-like job-trait.

Have it be DT for both magic and physical damage, to many mobs can one-shot our pets with ga spells as well.
