Valuable Solo NM list?Follow

Curious if anyone would like to share some of the soloable NM's that are worth the camp either for a drop or the straight up gil from it.
I'm looking for anything and everything. I have checked Riverne DAILY but no luck on Helio or Flies but my primary concern is gil being rough atm.
One target of mine that I pick off occasionally is Mysticmaker. I have the earring but the gil he drops(I think 9k?) is a nice chunk in today's economy.

Normally I'd just sit back and wait but I have my love, my Hagun, held by someone right now as collateral due to my RDM hitting 41 and needing Refresh but being short on gil.
So I am hunting to make 70k(preferably more, so I don't end up broke and unable for any further spells) this week.
Any advice would be great. "Farming" items are completely worthless, I tried. Even silk is like 8k/stack and Tree Cuttings are 10k... a stack.

*edit*
Also, trying to avoid the ones that make you beat your head on the desk. IE: Argus(insane pop), VE(lottery of horribleness)

If you just need a quick 70k, trade in your crour for some peices to sell. (I'm assuming you've been leveling in abyssea)
Enough xp to get 75>85 should give you enough cruor to buy a few armour peices to sell.
there currently selling for 10k each on my server, and they npc for ~7k I believe if the price drops

None of the NM's you listed drop items you can sell... they are R/E. Unless you are selling the drops to someone you get no money.

Hagun is less than 120k on my server. It used to be 3mil. "Your love" is cheap as hell [not to mention a better and "free-gilwise" great katana are via magian.]

I don't understand, you can't farm super easy stuff like silk/tree cuttings getting several stacks in an hour... possibly that entire 70k or whatever in an hour or two, but you can camp Mysticmaker who drops 9k every 2-2.5 hours?

There is no free ride, no big ticket item. Even the normal stuff like Cassie, Serket, etc that I used to farm are dropping like in price like crazy. Money is made in Abyssea. Go there and farm NM's with friends, or farm lowbie crafting supplies. You can make 50k an hour farming lowbie stuff in a number of zones. If I bust my ass and have no competition, I can hit 90-100k. Its not hard.

You can make several hundred k in a few hours doing any number of crafting supplies. I'm sure you'll be too lazy to go after it. Take some crystals, farm sheep and rams in Konstacht, craft Sheep leather, sells 10k a stack. You can make a 200k in a few hours.

There is no big item aside from if you managed to snag a kclub or speed belt these days. Any money items are in abyssea [lowmannable by 2-6 people for many of the money items.]

Hagun is done. It is inferior. You can completely solo either the StP or WS+10% and get several hundred seals, as well as stacks upon stacks of items to sell. If you don't want to group, you are playing the wrong game. 140k is nothing, you could farm that in under 2 hours and buy another Hagun.

And for your info I gave away 22m in gear and 5m in gil when I left. Came back and made that twice over. Stop being lazy.

Hagun is "only" 140k on mine. It is "cheap" to people who didn't quit and come back with 0 gil I am sure but for those of us who did, it's a big item.

Wow, you should just quit now if 140k is EVER going to be a lot of money for you as a 75+ player. I mean really, you go kill Mysticmaker for his gil drop, but you won't do an incredibly easy (6 hours if trying maybe?) and free GKT that is better than Hagun. If we are talking small gil, just look at the auction house under Misc and look at the abyssea NM triggers which drop from regular mobs there. Go farm one up that you can manage. Profit.

Edit: It further occurred to me that while doing trials, I rack up tons of beastmen seals and kindred seals, simply because of the volume of mobs I kill and I rarely have to split the seals with more than 2 or 3 people tops. Something to consider when knocking TOTM and wanting gil.

#8Dinishte, Posted: Oct 06 2010 at 4:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) 140k is a good amount when you have to rebuild every job from scratch and lower items still cost 20-30k each plus costs of food plus spells are a KILLER on mages (70k refresh, 20k for each little spell from NPC's...) If it's SO easy for gil to flow, why are there still people without relics and full HQ?

Stopped reading here. You are comparing farming 140K to an item which is easily over 100 million and requires a massive time commitment.

You could make several mil in one week or even two, if you just stopped to farm, and use some of those seals. We all have to do it. Normally I get it from BCNM and the splitting of NM drops, but occasionally I need to farm up 200-300k for toolbags and food, so I go farm a couple of spots for a few hours and get it done. Your argument that you, and apparently only you have so little time to do anything is fail. None of us have enough time to do what we want, yet we all still manage to get things done.

-Take 1-3 days to farm.
-Farm Sheep leather; Make 100k an hour; Sell it to a crafter, or craft it higher yourself, and make more profits
-Farm Buffalo Meat or Couerl Meat; each are around 20k per stack on my server. You'll make seals, crystals, and various other items. Sells varyingly depending on the crafters needs to make food that day, but they will sell. You can find other things as well.
-If you have any Imperial standing it should sell within the day and for at least 10-15k per gold piece.
-BCNM those 900 seals. Under observation also drops phalanx and refresh, as well as PCC and NI [but both the latter have snowballed in price as well, by about 75% less on my server.]

You could have a half a mil in a few days, if not more.

Hagun is 20 base damage less than Keitenotachi. Almost a 20% difference in base damage. The higher base damage as well as either the ability to 5-hit now with either katana [although easier with the StP version.] There is also the fact that Hagun has gone from 2 mil to 100kish in a few months [at least on my server.] Any sam that is serious about the job will have dumped Hagun, and pursed a version of Keitenotachi, and/or be working on a version to give Tachi: Fudo. Hagun will still do big WS numbers, but make no mistake, it is inferior. Any amount of wishing will not make this untrue.

Another good way is to farm items used for new jug pets. They sell quite nicely.

yeah, the whole 'farming' thing confused the fk out of me when I tried talking to a level 20-30player at the time in Dangruf Wadi as a lvl 10 MNK.
