My log for Dynamis showed some of the SAMS performing 3 gekko in a row shortly after using meditate. What is needed to be able to do this in terms of gear and merits?

A certain level of retardation to not go for something that would make a skillchain instead at the very least on the first two WSs.

Also meditate and sekkanoki.

My bad I should be more specific.

Each SAM performed 3 gekko in a row independant of the other. Just wondering how they did it. I guess that in dynamis with over 55 people it's more difficult to SC which is why they chose to go this way.

This is what I found:

You need a weapon with a delay of 480 and a combined total of 54 Store TP which is enough to give you 20 TP per swing. A level 75 SAM has 25 Store tp through job traits. So another 29 Store TP is require either through gear or merits.

Build TP to 160 through normal attacks.

Activate Sekkanoki and use Tachi YukiKaze. This will leave you with 80TP.

You need to activate Meditate just before your next regular attack. It seems timing is needed here as you hit 100TP, then use Gekko before the first 20TP regen of meditate kicks in.

Gekko will give you 20TP if it hits.
A regular attack will occur which will give 20TP if it hits.
Then the next 20TP of meditate kicks in.

Minimum you end up with 60TP if your attacks hit, then the next 20TP regen from meditate and next regular attack gives the final 40TP needed to finish with kasha.

It seems that this is hard to do without havind DA proc. but not impossible.

Its not that hard really, don't need a 480 or any fancy stuff. Also SCing in Dynamis is a lost cause... when 15 people are beating on the monster and its dieing in 10~15 seconds ... yeah....

200 or more TP, sekkanomi -> WS -> Med -> WS -> few seconds later WS.

If the SAMs have a good haste build, and are receiving haste and a march or two, then they should be attack fast enough to get the extra TP required to make it seem like their Wsing back to back. I do this quite often in northlands (where I usually go SAM/DRG).

3x is easy.

200+ tp. Sekkanoki, ws, meditate, ws, ws.

You should be impressed when someone pulls out a 8x.

I actually believe someone posted a vid of doing a 6x sc on Ose, a long time ago (it died before he could use the 8th ws)

I always liked Delequiox's Cosmic Elucidation video myself. Back then Soboro wasn't very common and /DRG was practically unheard of lol.

EDIT: Come to think of it, there was no such thing as Sekkanokki back then and he still did an 8x.

I have to admit though that that video probably took a long time to get right, between needing an Icarus wing for the final WS and needing a lot of double and triple attacks on jumps to pull it off. Also, I'm aware that he modded the dats and that he didn't actually use Kaiten.
