Hello. I played for several years and then about in October I got too busy to keep playing. Lately I've found myself with a lot of free time and was planning on coming back to XI until XIV comes out.
So I was just wondering. has SAM gear stayed mostly the same since then? mainly I'm asking if hagun is still the way to go for a GK. I have a soboro, and I was just about to have enough gil for a hagun when I quit. I noticed it drop in price, and was just wondering if it is still the best reasonably attainable GK.
Also, any suggestions for more gear that is easily attainable? as in a couple hundred thousand gil, campable with 1-3 people, etc. would also be helpful. thanks in advance.

People are selling off Haguns because of magian trials, but I've heard some people say that Hagun is STILL generally tops. I have no idea if that's been verified or not.

Yes. All it involves is a trip to your local ah, check out the clearance section for GKs. You'll find one there. The magians GKs that MAY end up outperforming hagun after future trials of the magians updates will not be that easily obtained.
