Well, a pull had gone wrong and we got the entire stables in Dyna-Bastok today.
After most of the mages were petrified, things were looking south and I managed to solo a BST (with a lucky HP stat kill just in time) and them spammed my SE3E and PDT/Eva macros and ran around looking for a safe spot to die.
When i checked the log, it shows that I anticpated 14 attacks within the space of about 4 seconds... never seen anything like it before so here is the pic.
I'm sure the most I have seen 3E proc is about 5 times. Whilst it had very little effect as I got petrified and got nailed very quickly.
Anyone else seen this sort of thing? Was it a glitch/lag/something weird?

with seigan up, it seems that the chance of losing 3rd eye is inversely proportional to how long it's been since you put up 3rd eye. if 13 mobs attack you right when you pop it, chances are you'll anticipate all 13 hits (or at least the chances are better that you'll do it than if they all tried to hit you 10 seconds later). obviously this isn't a fail safe defense, but as you saw, it can come in handy sometimes.
The fail rate (chance that the effect will disappear) of third eye with seigan up scales linearly from 0%(?) to 100% based on its remaining duration. If you were to pop third eye the moment you start getting beat down by a 2hring MNK in dynamis chances are you could probably evade 8-10 hits pretty regularly.

Yeah I had read that the chance of keeping 3E scales but for some reason I had a limit in my head as well.
It would be pretty useful on stuff like MNKs if you got a cover or killed it off within a few seconds, in my situation, I had no chance ^^
Nice SS ^^. Mine would have been like that if I had taken it whilst still alive, dead bodies everywhere.
I assume that if you had 3E merits that it wouldn't change the rate of decay (i.e. still approach 0% chance at 30 seconds). Do we know if this is true?
Edit: Now that I have read this again I can't believe I even bother put this question here ^^ Surely surely surely reducing recast would have 0 effect on this... was tempted to edit it out but just in case someone is quoting me right now... /sigh.
Whilst we are here, is this different with SAM as a SJ? I cannot recall every anticipating more than 3 attacks with /SAM, in fact I didn't know that this was possible until I started levelling SAM myself (unfortunately most of the other SAM in my ls rarely keep long hate enough for me to have seen this prior to levelling it myself ; ;).
