Sword Strap vs. Pole GripFollow

Assuming I can maintain a stable 6-hit w/ both (WS in AF+1 legs (sTP+4) with Sword Strap, Usu legs with Pole Grip)

"Stuff" is situational ofc, so assume i'm /NIN (low-man event DD-tank) and using:

Hagun | **** | x | BTath
Ace's | Jtorq | Bushi | Brutal
Usu | Dusk | Raja | Tor
Forgr | Swift | Bhaid | Usu
Hagun | **** | x | BTath
Usu | Jtorq | Bushi | Brutal
Usu | Usu | Raja | Tor
Forgr | Swift | Usu | Usu

Hagun | **** | x | Sachet
Maat | Grgt | Bushi | Brutal
KO | Alky | Raja | Flame
Forgr | Wwolf | **** | Rutter

Atm i'm leaning towards the Sword Strap for the obvious -weapon delay. More swings between shadows, more WSs etc, but i'm not sure it out-weighs the double attack on WSs and TP.

edit: Format r hard

napkin math would say:

300*1.02+700*1.02*1.01= 1027.1

300*(100/97)+700*(100/97)= 1030.9

however, >100%tp still does something

pole tp: 17.7tp melee, 17.2 WS, 105.7 total, fTP= 2.010625

sword tp: 17.0 tp melee, 16.6tp WS, 101.6 total, fTP= 1.985

inc in dmg from fTP= ~1.013x

accounting for this:

300*1.02+700*1.02*1.01*1.013= 1036.5

300*(100/97)+700*(100/97)= 1030.9

tl;dr- pole by a smidgen
I don't believe in good guys versus bad guys anymore… I only see a plethora of states acting in self interest… with varying ethics and moral standards of course, but self-interest nonetheless

I parsed out both straps on dragoon (aurum body + v. fork, so I'm overloaded on storeTP anyway). They're within statistical noise of eachother. In general, that means you should go with pole unless you're really overloaded on storeTP on your default build (e.g. use some of the slots w/ storeTP for acc or atk).

Basicly, as long as you dont lose your 6 hits to 100, you're free to use any strap you like. They're nearly identical and switching one for the other has no noticable diffirence for an outside observant.

The only thing you really have to worry about is comments from people ingame and a lack of party invites after being checked, due to people thinking it's a gimp option.
