STR-build for GK WS tested. Got some questions...Follow

So I just started gathering gear for my SAM after having dusted it off for almost a year now. Since then I'd been focusing on primarily support and mage jobs so my personal experience with utilizing a DD job other than Rng still leaves much to be desired. I decided to do some simple testing using DirectParse with a STR build for Hagun on Lesser Colibri just out in Wajaom Woodlands. The data I gathered was fairly enlightening and made me further realize the importance of gear swapping for WS, although I am still left with a few questions regarding the results. Here is the data:

Swapping from TP gear to WS

Dex increase of +4
ACC difference of -15
Attack increase of +16

Total WS dmg difference:
15029-12977 = 2052 (15.8%)

Low 627-542 = 85 (15.6%)
Avg 751.5-648.9 = 102.6 (15.8%)
High 866-835 = 31 (3.7%)


So apparently the WS Low and Average experienced a substantial overall increase of ~15.7%, with the WS High having seen a very small increase. Even with as little as STR+21 and Attack+16 the total damage increase impressed me, while WS accuracy seems to have capped on L.Colibri even with the Acc loss.
Now what I was wondering was, since STR seems to have been the more potent modifier for WS damage increase, how much of that % increase consistently carries over to higher level/higher defense mobs, and does WS-High see more of an increase on said mobs? Particularly concerning merit mobs, or boss NMs such as those found in sky/dynamis/dynamis lord. And is there any other stat I should be looking out for in terms of maximizing WS output?

probably would have saved you alot of time and effort to come ask what to use first instead of doing a test like that, this topic has been done again and again and again...

anyway to answer your question:

stack as much STR as you can in every slot possible, except for neck use snow gorget for yukki gekko rana.

do not stack ACC at all in your ws.

do not stack ATCK unless what you are fighting is very strong, like what the above poster said, you dont have buffs or kirin is not debuffed. besides that it should cap on anything.

Ah makes perfect since to want to stack STR and when needed, Attack since the WS-Acc seems to be a non-issue. Will also keep in mind the snow gorget and work towards that.

Man this thread really felt like a necrobump at first.

I found it amusing that you werent expecting to do more damage by only lossing a small amount of acc on a single hit then adding in a lot of Str + Attack, I would assume with any 1 hit in the game that you would only see improvement.

On a side note someone mentioned that YGK, get 25 33 and 50% ignored defense "respectively" you say that meaning y = 25 g = 33 and k = 50? Would be odd that we spam Gekko then unless the Attack bonuses are different aswell because I know Gekko wins in that respect.
