Kamayari+1 gives you 9.9 TP per hit with absolutely no STP. Therefore you need 45 STP to get that to 14.3 TP per hit, which gets you your 7-hit build. (Maths: 9.9*1.45 = 14.355, all decimals after the first are dropped)

You get 20 STP from JTs, so you need another 25 from gear. The gear you listed would indeed get you slightly more than the requisite amount. However, you'd have to keep all that gear for WS as well, otherwise you'd lose the extra TP needed.

It should also be noted that when you fight birds (which you will, a lot), you're not going to be using carbonara.

Personally, I wouldn't bother, as you lose too much acc/att/haste. Get yourself a soboro! Rajas alone puts it at a nice 7-hit, and most people would agree it's pretty comparable to a polearm build, even on birds.

The thing I find about Soboro, which irritates me, is that a lot of people want me to use Hagun because I am feeding the birds too much TP and the Melees are takin "too much Damage." Anyone else run into issues like this? I like to use Soboro, but I've had like 4 parties ask me to use something else, including one of them a penta spamming Sam lol. Thus why I am finishing of Polearm to give me something else to use. :p
