ACC vs STRFollow

Howdy,

I'm still new to SAM (only 54 at the moment). I have noticed a lot of SAMs TPing in STR over ACC gear. As a WAR, this is something I would never do unless I'm capped (or close to capped) ACC and at first just thought these SAMs were doinitrong...

Since then, I have considered Zanshin and wonder whether that allows SAMs to have lower ACC in place for other stats so my question becomes, how much ACC do you target and how much should I at 55 given there is much less haste/sTP options.

I'm mostly focused on Polearm at the moment but interested in how it should change for soboro (not that I plan to level on anything but birds). In case it matters, my TP build at 55 will be:

polearm, mythril+1, non-exciting Bow, arrow (will use tiphia at 59)
Walkure mask, PCC, Spikex2
Jaridah Peti, o.kote, sniper, rajas
Jaguar, swift, AF (well will get them shortly), fuma

I use life belt if I dont have haste AND dont have hasso up.

Obviously I will use haub soon and all the other normal upgrades, just not sure what combo I should be TPing in with swift/life belt and sniper/STR+4 rings.

1. Ignore the noobs TPing in STR over ACC.

2. On Pentathrust (assuming you have it), you shouldn't be switching in +STR instead of ACC/ATK unless you are eating sushi or getting madrigal. Stick to twin Snipers, will give you more consistent WS damage. Btw meat mithkabobs are good on birds, it's relatively cheaper than sushi too (assuming you have the accuracy buffs to use them).

3. Soboro is good, but chances are if you're rolling with a BRD or COR, you'll get more mileage out of Polearm's 25% bonus damage against Colibri.

You seem to be on the right track, just a quick note that it's the 1-hit GKT WS (Yukikaze, Gekko, Kasha) which take advantage of stacking +STR...seeing as you don't get any of these before 60, none of the SAMs you see should be using +STR on ring slots yet.

If acc didn't contribute to WS freq they would be pretty close, but because it does it's no contest.

Life vs swift- at around the haste/acc rating you're at (w/ haste/hasso) +4% haste and 10acc are about equal, however, with polearm's lower atk from skill, and given you're not eating meat, /WAR and soforth, the -atk on swift is hurting you more than the +acc is helping you, putting life in the lead.

WS- for penta only switch out haste (for acc/atk), for Yuki go STRSTRSTR

soboro- has ridiculous DPS at that point which is the main reason you should use it, but the amount of WS you'll be able to get off and the decreased loss of dmg from feather tickle are good reasons too.

/DRG- I probably wouldn't till 70+ (HJ, more haste, etc)
