Well... I just beat Maat at lv66... due to level sync's, my Great Katana isn't skilled high enough to use Tachi: Gekko so I used Penta Thrust..
Soon as I went in, used Meditate, then Blink Band.. waited for another Meditate.. ran up to Maat.. used Sekkanoki, Seigan and Third Eye... Used two Penta Thrusts off the bat and Maat stunned me for a couple seconds, then 2 houred and used 3 more Penta Thrusts to beat him. I lived with 123 HP left and I'm Tarutaru.

Just did a 2224 penta thrust yesterday with my new build on colobri =) As taru with only 3/5 Overwhelm, that one felt nice.

After being away from FFXI for several months I came back, meritted a little bit, and managed to get decent augments on my Rindomaru I have been wanting to get.
Store TP +7 WS Damage +3% WS Accuracy +4
Granted not fantastic by any means, but decent. And an accomplishment none-the- less. Haha. Gonna keep trying to get the higher of those augments though.

I got unbelievably lucky in UO about 3 weeks ago. (Nix2, pccx2 in 4 runs, all back to back)
Upgraded marduk hands for my WHM and picked up a hagun for my sam. If I didn't spend it then when I had the money I wasn't ever gonna get it. Very happy with it.

I came back to FFXI after 3 years retirement to play BST...
Since unlocking SAM a week ago and levelling to 38, I have to admit that I don't think my BST will see the light of day again...
My latest accomplishment for Samurai was a realisation that this is the class I came back for. <3

Got Lv75, then spent my first merits, on overwhelm.
My ls, which has been doing salvage 5 days a week just saw our first pair of usu feet 25s last night, which I lotted 969 on. Bitchin.
Capped GK and evasion, both with 2 merits so far. So, 280 gk and 260 evasion. :)
With lolsamtank gear and soboro sukehiro, and fulltime hasso with sub dancer, I fare well against tough monsters in the tree, they're very easy to stay at 260~ tp with full hp. Parrying is soon to come! It's at 198 from PLD.

Pretty big deal for me since I dont have a sky ls (or time for one), but I finished Usu pants on friday night. I'm finally out of shura for TP and into some haste pants.
Was having an e-peen contest with my LS mates and switched to double Minuets after someone had to go AFK for a while. First time ever breaking 2k damage on SAM on something VT+.

AMKD Multi-hit WS helm mine! Will be nice on Penta thrust, Tachi: Rana and since I also have ws acc+15, nifty Sidewinder piece when i /rng in Sea on kited fights ^^ Ditching Shura kabuto for the helm also on WS, no more misses ftw xd
P.S. I took the helm so it could benefit War and Drk more, but I get some mileage on it on Sam also ;)

On a much less exciting note, got Peacock Amulet after camping for only about an hour. Someone in my LS had killed previously so I had a ToD, felt nice to sell my chiv chain :).
