Casual player have some ???'s level 60+Follow

I have been playing off and on for several years as a casual player. My highest job is nin lvl 60. Those that I knew no longer play the game so I am at a lost of where to go mainly and as I enjoy making goals/quest I find myself not knowing and shouting has not resulted in help. I joined a linkshell but the times I play no one is on or does not play a nin to answer my ???'s so I'm asking for the communities help.

Here is my current gear:

MH: Sai +1 Offhand: Buboso
Head: Empress Hairpin
Neck: Spiked Necklace
Earrings: Beetle Earring +1
Body: Scorpion Harness
Gloves: Ochiudo's Kote
Rings: Reflex, balance
Back: Jaguar Mantle
Belt: Warrior's Belt
Legs: Republic Subligar
Feet: Bounding Boots

My source of income is fishing(100), cooking(95) namely sole sushi.

1. What gear should I be planning for wether quested/NM or bought? I have read some on haste gear, ws, even blm gear for elemental wheel. Though this may be a separate topic just need to place priority here which gear is my focus first.
2. Is nin still a party friendly job for DD or tanking? (What changes should I know about if any)
3. Since getting groups may be difficult due to time limits what zone can I solo in as Nin/dnc ? What's best exp mob or possible fov books? I will be lvl 61 today from doing Eastern Altepa FOV books mobs are close and easy peasey
4. Any tips, hints, suggestions that will allow me to become a quality player?

It's unlikely you will ever party like you used to as everyone has moved on to abyssea, the gear you have there is sufficient enough for you to solo up to 75 using Fields of valor and the new Grounds of valor system exping that way is better than ever now as they can repeated more than once a day.

When you reach 75 or before if your lucky hop into a abyssea group and at level 78 there is a relatively good starter set of sorts the Aurore set while not the best looking set (its pink) and not the best gear it has a lot of what you will want haste evasion accuracy and str and dex.

From there you need to work on your af3 pieces they are generally the best you'll be able to get and you will need 3-4 man groups using specific jobs to farm them most efficiently.

FFxiclopedia.com is your friend for all things abyssea related a lot of this game is very easy once you read up on things yourself, relying on others will get you nowhere fast.

Make your own groups, Make sure you know when and where to go and Make sure you don't drag everyone else down by being unprepared.

Its easy for myself to say this as I've done it and daunting I suppose for a newer player but if you put the time in you'll make it work and make new friends in the process.

I'd say tough is still a bit too strong, since they increased exp per kill you would be better fighting decent challenge mobs and getting exp over time rather than per kill even easy prey is good in large amounts.

My experience of the 60's was mostly in wajaom woodlands though they don't have pages lesser colibri will be soloable at 60.

Don't go there though as you really will want the page exp reward and they can be a pain as they erase tp.

you could maybe try cape terrigan though again thats more 65+ and 70 for easy solo.

Easiest thing you could do is make a level sync somewhere like qufim island 19-24 level range or find someone soloing and level sync to them on their page you can then go skill up later which is easy on Ninja.

Wanted to reply to this as a couple things I learned from my failure. One) I forgot we had skills like slow and paralyze and even blind. Two) I failed to realize that at level 60 my heal from dnc was increased and I was using the lesser. I've spent last few days making tools so now am stocked. I went ahead and incresed my level staying in Western Alt Desert doing page 5 killing mainly goblins

I have a couple questions about are skills.

1. On pull should I use paralyze first or slow? Meaning is one resisted more than the other??
2. Is blind any good? I know it is suppose to increase the miss rate of mob.
