SE is finally separating the recast timers of Yonin and Innin! This has been a long time coming, and I see myself using both of them much more frequently now.

Nice, I'll definitely take it. It will come in handy for sure, because it seems every time I use Innin the mob turns on me sooner rather than later, no matter who or what is tanking.

Still not going to be all that useful for me until they have 1 min cooldowns like Hasso/Seigan and Light/Dark Arts. If they stay 5 minute, they wouldn't be easily swappable at the drop of a hat (which is, if you ask me, the whole point of having them on separate timers to begin with)

Bumping them up to 2hr duration, removing the effect degradation, and getting rid of their acc/eva penalties wouldn't be bad either.

it's very unlikely that SE removes the eva/acc penalties, still 1 minute recast is what we really need, innin is quite useless if you can't switch back to yonin as soon as you get hate (matter of 1 ws)
this is at least one first step

I definitely agree, it's kind of ridiculous that samurai have essentially the same type of mechanic yet they can switch back and forth and we can't. This is a step in the right direction though, and hopefully in another upcoming update they will address it again.

I agree, for the yon/in situation, its all about small steps by the looks of it.

You never know, SE might suprise us and allow us to keep both JA's up, I think outside of abyssea we'll need something like this for us to keep our current mainstream competitive style up.

I'm happy to see this, but like others I'd like to see the stances set-up like SAM. The problem for SE, I assume, is the degradation issue, which likely means they would have to reprogram these job abilities, it's probably not a big enough fish atm to spend the time reprogramming, hence we get a partial fix instead of a total fix.

The other thing I'd like to see is the bonuses apply no matter where we are standing around the mob, I hate that I have to be in front of the mob to maximize Yonin and behind it to use Innin, drives me nuts lol.

I'd definitely like to see 2 hour durations as I use Yonin pretty much exclusively as my acc is pretty much capped with it on everything and more evade and enmity is always nice for tanking.

The only problem is the decay effect over time I'd be fine if the the values remained at full potency the whole duration though I'm sure they have remained as they are for a reason and 5 minutes with independant recast is a nice boost.

Perhaps 10 minutes would be more reasonable to expect.

Heh. I was actually surprised to see anyone care about this. I didn't think anyone used Yonin for anything but the ninja tool expertise bonus. It's pretty much the only reason I keep it on. As for Innin, I haven't had that on my macro bars for months.

Innins fun for the few secs after RED !! if theres more than 1 melee on the NM, otherwise Yonin (which wiki says means wide open ninja lol) gives EVA & a decent amount of counter with +2 legs.
