Blade: Yu with brewFollow

Has anyone tried Blade: Yu with a brew? I have all the important MAB atmas and Im looking to mass brew some NM's soon. Ive seen NINs brew with Jin, but it seems the elemental WS's work better for most jobs due to how MAB scales with a brew. Any input would be great.

Also, I know this isnt the BLU forum, but I could also use Sanguine Blade on my BLU for the same purpose if anyone has done that as well.

What's stopping you from going NIN/BLU, setting the magic attack bonus trait, and spamming sanguine blade? :p

If I was going to do that, I would just be a BLU and equip a ton on MAB gear along with the atmas and the trait. Sadly, there is very very little MAB available for NIN on short notice.

Anyhow, I did try out Blade: Yu on lesser mobs with Baying moon (30 mab), Beyond (30 MAB), and Minikin (50 INT) along with the +50 DEX I already have in my WS macro (mods are 50% DEX / 50% INT) and it was pretty terrible.

NIN can brew no problem. Rani, Shin, anything you want, NIN can do. And to find out which does the most, just open up the WS menu, and do each one, its not like you don't have the time.

Noxious Fang instead of a MAB atma would help a bit. Pretty sure we get more mileage out of Aeolian Edge spam though.

Actually time was of the essence since I was brewing x3 Orthrus on one brew, so I wanted to have solid plan ahead of time. I just ended up doing Chainspell nuke spam and got through 2.5 Orthrus before Brew ran out (also x1 revitalizer). I probably could have finished, but he intimidates a lot and that threw me off.

I've only brewed shin with it once. I honestly don't recall atma choice, but it was MAB heavy, and i was nin/war. Each :Yu did 10-11k in my TP gear. I'm sure that # could be pushed up gearing properly.

Except Atma setup is very different if you were going with MAB/Water Attack+ for Yu, versus standard DD Atma choices for a physical WS...

Really, I just did Shinryu starting with a 300% Blade: Hi for Lv.3 Aftermath. Did Hi do more than Yu would have? No. But the constant Darkness skillchains was well worth using Hi for. Shinryu went down quite easily.

NIN can use GKT. Jinpu is a very good brew ws (and the proper atma help alot).
