Hello, firstly i appreciate this may have been spoke about before but im struggling to find an answer.

Assuming you could equip +10 EVA skill in one slot or +10 EVA in the same slot which would you choose and why?

I have googled this alot and read alot of people say that EVA skill and EVA are both the same... then they start talking about 2 AGI = 1 EVA blah blah which was not the original question.

I know EVA skill shows up in your combat skills... and EVA does not...

But what are the differences?

I am asking in the Ninja forum as i would imagine you guys would be best experienced to answer better.

There was a research for this in this forum (or it was on THF I forgot). About a year or two...
In the end most conclude, what gives the "most" per slot.

If you want compare now Fugacity Mantle VS Boxer's Mantle ... Well I guess Fugacity offer more evasion (+1 bonus and more AGI) but in other hands Boxer's offer other +10 skills that could be handy in some situation / job.

Beside that, there isn't much gear that you would argue Bonus vs Skill.

And don't forget that you get Evasion Bonus II JT with /THF30, /PUP40 and /DNC45 now.

They are both the same. Our evasion skill is just our base evasion in which mobs calculate their accuracy from (with +EVA and Eva from AGL added to that). Our total evasion works excatly the same way as our base acc from combat skill, + ACC, and + ACC from DEX gives us our hit rate VS a mobs evasion. Just think in reverse.

Some ppl think +Eva skill is better just because its rarer on armor pieces, but its no more rare then see-ing +combat skill on armor is (and all combat skill is is acc&att).

Like the above poster said, just go with the piece that offers the more total evasion, ie: 10Skill VS 8EVA 8AGL = the latter wins.
Taking a break.

If you treat it like combat skills and accuracy, where over level 200 skill, 1 skill = 0.9 accuracy, it would mean evasion > evasion skill. I don't if that is true, or not, but it is what I assume in making gear decisions. Thus if choosing between a piece of gear with evasion skill and one with evasion, I just pick the one with the bigger number (taking any AGI differences into account too).
