I finally dinged 75 as NIN this weekend. Last night, I went out and soloed Catoblepas as NIN/DNC to level my Katana and Evasion. Ding! Capped skill in both. I'll never have to go out and solo for skill ups on those again (I'd been having to do that every level since level 70).

Looks like someone carpet karma bombed this thread so I rated everyone up...
Not exactly an accomplishment for my own Nin but it's still worth pointing out. While helping my friends out with the Opo Opo crown item in Temple Ugga when we randomly got the Rattle for the Hototogisu NM. I went 1/14 on this jerk(2 hour repop on rattle ???, 1 hour repop on NM ???) but he dropped the thing last night when we popped it. 2/15 on this guy makes me feel better about it now. XD
Grats on the Okote btw man. From what I understand TH is useless because he always drops something...

Ding! level 66. Unfortunately this was on synched party. The second was a blast! Best COR I've partied with. Tanking Colibri is way harder than Lesser's, being a taru with berserk up Pecking Flurry is dangerous if all hits get in your face. Died 2 times.
Also managed to complete G4, the first ZM, and now 5/6 runic portals.
Probably stopping leveling for a bit, until I can get 200 or 300k's more to fund my way to 75. Need to solo something to keep my skills capped.

Tried to duo Double Dragonian with Synikal and found out that I indeed can NOT solo the Dragonian Minstral on NIN/DNC. Got her to 50% and got unlucky when she landed Elegy.

If you want my advice, go /WAR and bring a set of tools to spin the wheel. You want the attack to over-come his DEF and the wheel dominates when he goes into his physical damage reduction mode.

I have capped merits for anything ninja related (5/5STR, 8/8ktn, 4/4eva, 4/4crit, 4/4spell interrupt, 8/8ninjutsu, doton, san spells etc.) As well as a 299 eva skill setup for the fights and a full eva set.
I'd go NIN/WAR but I always seem to get hit at least 2 times before I time out/get borked and NIN/DNC has yielded far better results for me so far.
Biggest issue I have is that I'm usually too cheap to spring for elemental tools, and every time I've tried to use them, he gets a lucky double/triple attack and I get boned.

After dusting off my long neglected ninja, some of my friends decided they wanted joeyuse. That thing is a bitch with taru hp, but after two smooth and one GM'd charybdis which loved to connect 8/8 and then cross attack, we got my three friends joyeuse.
Tanking him on ninja is just hilarious. You get ni up, he swings, you have no shadows. This is coming from a decent eva build too.
