What would you like to see for your job: Monk Edition!Follow

Since the job forums have been pretty inactive for awhile, I thought I'd start a new topic in each devoted to things you'd like or wish that Square Enix would do with each job. They can be legitimate things you'd like to see, or they could be absurd, and, while they can be, they don't have to be any serious or groundbreaking changes you think each job needs, just something you think would improve them a bit in some form. Just try to keep the topic clean and drama free (emphasis on try). Just have some fun with this and let your ideas soar.

I'd like to see Footwork get a bit of a revamp to make it a bit more appealing for use. I know it'll still for the most part pale in comparison to just punching, but I think just sort of changing it a bit so that it's a viable ability for people to use as an alternative to the normal punch, punch, punch, punch...punch...kick...punch, etc.

Failing that, what Dia said. It would be nice to have Guard be useful for damage mitigation. Right now we have the same problem we've always had. All it is, is a blue number. That's all. Kind of annoying at this point.

Like, you remember how when Genome used to lie about how useful Guard is and edit his videos? Yeah, if guard worked like that, it'd be great.

A buff to chi blast to give it some use would be cool.
Staff stance? Because it's fun to change it up.

Never thought about it before but a staff stance would be pretty cool. Especially if it was like FFXII where you could get multi-hit combos. Say give the mnk a high or even constant double attack rate while using staves with triple and quadruple attacks with consectively lower proc rates. Problem with this is normal double, triple, and quadruple attack procs. Maybe have them cumative like if normal double attack and a staff triple attack proc then they'd hit for five times. Don't think mnk get access to quadruple attack so highest combo would be seven, highest regular now is eight (two triples and a double kick) so it wouldn't be to unreasonable.

Chi blast may as well just have its name changed to penance at this point. Thats literally all its useful for. They should do something about this because it is very silly.
